THOUGHTS

**** Please look here for updates from time to time. Although I don't promise a weekly update to this "Thoughts" page, I will update it when I have the time to. Only after I first started this page did I realize how hard it is to type something every week. My schedule just doesn't allow it. But, I will continue to try and share my experiences with the world. It's been a pretty eventful month! I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday to my friend Tony. We had a great time celebrating his birthday with some friends at the Peel Pub in Toronto.

As already said on my main page, congratulations to Vince Carter for winning the Slam Dunk Championship. The picture to the left shows Tony, Gary and I whooping it up while watching the dunk contest. It's the first time my friends and I actually planned to watch a sports event in a long time. Carter did not dissapoint us. We were literally sitting on the edge of our seats!! I got to see Vince Carter live for the second time in my life. I watched Carter and the Raptors demolish the Atlanta Hawks at the Air Canada Centre. NBA basketball is the best sports bargain in Toronto. $10.50 gets you a seat in the upperdeck and the view is just great! Nothing compares to watching live sports!

I also had the pleasure of seeing the Canadian kings of comedy: The Kids in the Hall, live!! They are currently on a North American tour. I remember watching them when I was a lot younger. I always wanted to see them live, but being young and unemployed, I didn't get the chance. When I heard they were going on tour I made sure to get tickets. They're as hilarious as they were in their early days. They performed some new material as well as old characters such as Mr. Heavyfoot, Chicken Lady and Head Crusher.

Like I said, a very eventful month!!

Life is crazy! In the last two years my life has completely changed. I've started my career in the Canadian film and television industry. I'm already on my third job!! My first was a 6-month contract as a Communications Agent for the National Film Board of Canada. After that I had a two-week job on a film set as a Production Assistant for Sienna Films. I am currently on a 6-month contract as a Data Entry Assistant at the Canadian Television Fund.

Life is pretty good right now. My time is split between work, keeping in shape and spending time with my beautiful girlfriend Tasia who I've been going out with for almost two years now! =)

My best friends also have gone through some changes. The funny picture on above was taken during one of my best friend's (Jeff) wedding in September 1999. From left to right is myself, Gary, Jeff, Tony and J. Jeff wasn't the only one to get married. Another best friend, Gary, also got married and had his first son: Sebastian Tyler. As for J, he and his girlfriend moved to Vancouver over the holidays. I'm really happy for him, but why did you have to move so far?!!! We all miss you! Tony and I continue on our quest to conquer the Canadian Film and Television industry.
